Wilfrid Smith Limited supply raw materials and chemicals for home and export sales servicing the UK, Europe and Worldwide markets.

We deliver over 24,000 tonnes of product per year, averaging over 50 deliveries per week from our centally located warehouse in Selby in lot sizes ranging from 1kg up to 24 tonne FCL’s.

Company History
The group was founded by Wilfrid Smith in 1927 and started trading in central London. In the early nineteen sixties the offices moved to new premises in Edgware.
Originally, the business of the company was in the rubber industry, this has now expanded into a wide variety of other industry sectors.
The acquisition of Bromhead and Dennison in 1991 led to Wilfrid Smith's activities expanding within the Surface Coatings, Inks and Adhesives markets.
Wilfrid Smith continues to be a strong supplier to markets including Personal Care, Plastics & Rubber, Coatings & Inks, Adhesives, Pharmaceutical, Textile, Paper, Horticulture and Health Food.
The company is privately owned following a management buyout in 1996 and was relocated to Oakley Hay in Northamptonshire where the company operates from to this day.

Wilfrid Smith Limited has closely followed the development and implementation of the REACH regulation. We have worked with our Principals to ensure that the materials they supply were Pre-Registered and notified for CLP if required, by EU legal Identities.
We continue to communicate between our customers and Principals on the use and sector codes needed for inclusion in the Registration Dossiers for our customers applications.
